The Samoa Embassy in Tokyo continues its active participation in the Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) fundraising efforts, which provide crucial support for grassroots initiatives benefiting women and children.
In 2024, ALFS allocations from 2023 and 2024 were combined to provide computers and educational resources to five rural elementary schools in the Aleipata District—Ti’avea, Samusu, Saleaumua, Lotopu’e, and Satitoa Primary Schools. These village-run schools, each with around 200 students but only three to four teachers, previously had no access to computers. With ALFS support, each school received a computer, printer, accessories, ink, toners, paper, and books to enhance student learning and teacher preparation.
In saying this, we respectfully seek your kind assistance and support of this year’s bazaar. We are selling
raffle tickets at 500 yen per ticket, and door tickets at 2,000 yen per ticket.
