サモア独立国大使館のジャスティン・リマ参事官と大使館スタッフが2月27日（木曜日）、東京都調布市の第三小学校を訪問しました。参事官は3時限目に全校生徒向けにサモアの紹介を行ないました。また4時限目には5年生生徒と文化交流が行われ、生徒達が「シヴァタウ」を披露したほか、日本の防災対策に関するグループ発表がされ、サモアに有益となり得る提案が出ました。また給食ではサモアの食文化にインスパイアされた特別な給食が生徒や先生方に提供されました。参事官は5年生生徒と共に給食を食べることができました。
Counsellor Justin Lima of the Embassy of the Independent State of Samoa and embassy staff visited Daisan Elementary School in Chofu City, Tokyo on February 27th (Thursday).
The Counsellor delivered a presentation about Samoan culture for the entire student body during the 3rd period. A cultural exchange was held with the fifth grade students, who performed the Siva Tau during the 4th period and provided group presentations on disaster preparedness in Japan with recommendations that could be useful in Samoa. The exchange concluded with a special Samoan inspired lunch for the students and teachers. The Counsellor was able to have lunch with the 5th grade students.
