In collaboration with JICA Global Plaza, the Embassy of the Independent State of Samoa held a month-long exhibition that showcased Samoa, it’s culture, traditions, trade and investment opportunities, the Embassy’s public diplomacy activities in Japan and the bilateral relations between Samoa and Japan. The objective of the event was to promote awareness about Samoa to the Japanese people including school students who visit JICA’s Global Plaza visitors area as part of celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Samoa and Japan. The event was held in the month of July to coincide with the Pacific Nations rugby tournaments during which the Manu Samoa played the Brave Blossoms in Sapporo Hokkaido providing further visibility to the Embassy’s sports and cultural exchange programs.
