SIDS DOCK Courtesy call on the Pacific Island Countries Ambassadors Group in Tokyo

On November 8, 2023, the Pacific Island Countries Ambassadors Group in Tokyo welcomed a courtesy call from the members of the SIDS DOCK Council, which included the Chair (Ambassador and Permanent Resident of Tonga in New York), the Ambassador and Permanent Resident of Tuvalu in New York, and the Deputy Permanent Representative of Samoa in New York. The meeting took place at the JICA headquarters in anticipation of their upcoming field visit to the “Kumejima Model,” an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion technology located in the Okinawa prefecture.
